Bob Heard – Port Colborne

CPR Orangeville Sub Late 1950’s Orangeville to Owen Sound
HO Scale 8’ x 32’
Track – 100% complete Scenery – 100% complete

Bob’s CPR Orangeville Sub is a light weight double deck layout connected by a 4 circle helix on 3% grade. This eliminates the duck under .and provides a 4 foot wide main aisle. Operation is point to point as on the prototype, utilizing five turntables. The railway is DC controlled and fully operational with cards and waybills, with trains operated as locals on a rough prototypical schedule. Everything is weathered, some very heavily. Evans Designs Model Builders software is used to create very convincing paper structures over an artists’ mat board core. This layout was featured in the Sept/Oct 2010 issue of Canadian Railway Modeller.
