NFR 2014 Grapevine Express Layout Tour

Ron Pullano – Niagara Falls

River Junction Pass 1950’s Freelance CN, CP, TH&B
HO Scale 28’ x 32’
Track – 199% complete Scenery – 199% complete

Using Lenz DCC control, the layout features a long single track traveling through professional looking urban and rural scenery. Two passing sidings allow for running multiple trains. Power for the trains is “hostled” from a well-stocked loco fueling and servicing facility. The passenger yard holds up to 100 80’ cars. Ron has not over-crowded his layout with track, but had left room for many detailed urban, railroad and industrial vignettes including fly-fishermen busy trying their luck in a line side-stream. By the time we visit in May 2014, the new 7’ x 2-1/2’ ship dock and wharf will be in place featuring a custom decaled model of a 500 scale foot laker, the “Algoway” and a 15-car capacity, 3 track car float.
