Update

Enclosed are some photos from the September Meet.
And you can follow this link to view the layout that was on tour.
Fern Leroux - HO scale Ontario Northland Railroad.

The Display Table

David (R) closely examines the DDC display that Peter (L) had brought out.

Don L brought out this freshly painted CN Hawker-Siddeley Caboose for his Shadetree & Nepean railway.

This N scale Walthers Cornerstone Railworks industry built by Bill M was destined for the RailFair Raffle layout until they ran out of space.

David S's love for Swiss steam rack locomotives was captured in these photos from his trip there last week.

Grant K's parents bestowed him with his English RR lattern. Speculation was that it is Fog Mans Lattern from the London North Eastern Railway.

Brian E brought out some more of his NMRA Living Legends N scale cars.

Michael R fabricated this 3 circuit Digitrax PM4 DCC breaker for his RR from a recycled PC power supply.

This Korber Transfer Co. kit was also built by Michael R.

Dave P Has scratch built the CNR Grimsby Station in styrene. He had to modify it a number of times as new information became available regarding it's design.

Jim Mc. has scratch built Log Dump and Jill Poke for this HO railroad.

Here is a closer view of the Jill Poke that actualy operates!

Ron N models in many scales and here is his latest scratch built creation in O scale.

Ron's building is built board by board.

Clinic - Railfair Raffle Layout

Mike Hamer and Chris Lyon presented a wonderful clinic on how the Friday Night Crew built this year's Railfair Raffle Layout.
Stan Conley started with an Ikea glass topped coffe table to which they fabricated plexiglass sides and built the layout base from styrofoam. From there the crew worked feaverishly to lay the track, install the scenery and build the numerous structures - all on an eight week schedule!.

The location of the September Meet is not finalized at this time though it will be in the Ottawa area. Please check back here as we will publish the details as soon as they are available.

Here are the directions which also appear in the
Mailcar newsletter.
