The Display Table

Bob Farquhar attended a "Master Model Building" conference recently and came home with this kit.

Bob's laser kit was made especially for the confrence based on Selios / Frary buidlings.

Doug P brought out this Northern Pacific 24 ft standard caboose. Caboose is a W+R model.

Doug also had Boxcar Caboose conversion from NP. This is an Overland brass model.

Grant K had a cute little section house diorama on display. The shed is a Grandt Line plastic kit of a D&RGW prototype.

This HOn3 RGS caboose is a plastic kit made by E&B Valley. Grant K model.

Grant also brought out his fleet of HOn3 cabooses. Three are for the C&S railroad and the fourth for the West Side Lumber company.

David Steer brought out his HOn3 White Pass & Yukon Route caboose 900. This is a PFM brass model that represents the Sumpter Valley unit that was transfered to the WP&Y. The multi coloured Thunderbird is from CDS.

Dave had two C&S cabooses, (L-R) HOn3 PFM model and a Sn3 Overland. The CNR caboose in the back is also from Dave and built from a Athabasca Scale kit.

This White Pass & Yukon container car is also Dave's and built form a Railmaster white metal kit.

This S scale 53 ft boxcar belongs to Alex Binkley. It was buiult form a Des Plaines Hobbies kit.

Alex also had a S Scale American Models coach painted and lettered for CN.

Mike Hamer has built three shacks from a Bar Mills kit.

Ron N displayed his Bachmann On30 flat car which he had weathered..

This is Chivers (England) On30 kit that Ron has weathered with acrylic paint..

Jim Baxter had his USRA 0-8-0 N scale steam switcher on display.

The focus of Peter Coleman's display is the cross bucks which cost only $3.00 to make!

In closing, Peter Nesbit shows how he uses PC Board for interior wiring in his buildings.

The location of the November Meet will be in the Ottawa area.

The November program will include a mixture of clinics in the morning followed by a special event in the afternoon.


Your Executive is not sleeping at nights while they wrestle with dreaming up a "theme" for the Display Table. Rest assured they will come up with another doosy!
Of course indepedant of what they settle on, fell free to bring in anything railroad related to share with your friends!


The entry fee is $5.00 at the door. NMRA members can join the SLD / NMRA and enjoy all of its benefits for a nominal fee and guests are always welcome.
