John had just received in the mail this large scale kit to make a "wagon" that will accompany Debbie's live stem loco.

The kit contains laser cut wood pices, white metal castings, etchings and machined parts.

Chris brought out series of magazine covers that demonstrate landscape photos that have been cropped for a portrait format..

Stan brought out a Whitehead & Kales auto carrier built from a Sylvain resin kit.

Here is Fruehauf Livestock trailer that Stan also built from Sylvain kit.

Stan has completed his Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp tank car.

Peter built this CPR 218 ton ice house from a Juneco kit.

Peter then built a smaller version out of styrene.

Tom showed us how tight curves can be made with using the Fast Tracks rail bender.

Lorne has moved onto scratch building rolling stock - CNR wood caboose.

The caboose is based on an Al Craig plan from the Aug'84 MR.

Lorne scratch built the end platforms & ladders.

The afternoon actvity involved scratching building our loading ramps under Lorne's guidance.

For the January meet, we'll be congregating at the Emmanual United Church on Smyth Road. The meet will take place in the hall on the upper floor.

Location: The Emmanuel United Church
691 Smyth Road, Ottawa

The church is located in the north corner of Smyth and Dauphin Roads, just east of the CHEO Hospital.

The program will consist of clinics in the morning related to the afternoon KitBusters project - scratch building a loading ramp. The afternoon activity will be a leader lead workshop to build the loading rampp.


The subject for the January Display table is What Santa Brought You .
So feel free to bring out something that is related to the topic.
But don't let that limit you, feel free to bring in any railroad related item!


The entry fee is $7.00 at the door.
NMRA members can join the SLD / NMRA and enjoy all of its benefits for a nominal fee and guests are always welcome.
